The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers on October 22 raided the home of Tharaka-Nithi Deputy Governor Murithi Mati and recovered more than KSh 2 million in fake currency.
Tharaka-Nithi Deputy Governor Murithi Mati had recently alleged that a police officer attached to his security detail had robbed him KSh 3.5 million at a gunpoint claiming the cash was raised after he sold a piece of land.
