Students from Namboboto-Nambuku Ward, Samia Sub County have received bicycles to help them cover the long distance from their homes to schools.
The bicycle empowerment program which will target a total of 9 schools in the first phase is sponsored by the World Bicycle Relief in partnership with Child Fund Kenya Program, Lake Victoria Child Support Program and the Ministry of Education.
Busia’s governor’s wife Judy Ojaamong launched the program with Nyokabhi and Ganjala secondary schools becoming the first recipients with 120 students from each school benefiting from the Bufallo bicycles.
