Drama and tension high at Uruku GK Prison Imenti central after a prison warder went on a shooting spree after dispute with the wife.
Area police boss Boniface Lisiolo said Constable Douglas Asuma aged 27, who had been in a long dispute with the lover today at 1pm was engaged in a quarrel where he wanted to beat her up before she tried to escape.
Lisiolo noted that the warden grabbed a gun from a colleague and tried to shoot his wife but missed and hit a another woman on the head who
was rushed to Githongo Hospital and later referred to Meru teaching and referral hospital where she is in critical condition.
The OCPD who is leading the operation who spoke on phone confirmed that the warder then grabbed the woman and is currently holding her hostage in his
house.
