Terror Group Al-Shabaab Display photos of dead Kenyan Police Officers

Al-Shabaab militants have released photos of bodies allegedly of two Kenyan police officers who went missing after their camp was attack by the militants on Thursday, September 22.
The two police officers went missing after al-Shabaab militants attacked Hamey police post in Garissa county.

In the photos which udaku.co.ke cannot post here as they are too sensitive, the group displayed the bodies on the ground with militants standing near them.

The bodies of the officers were displayed in the town of Jilib in Southern Somalia, which is the current ‘headquarters’ of al-Shabaab.

The militants also displayed several weapons and a police land cruiser they had stolen from the police post.

Al-Shabaab, in a statement, said it had killed six Kenyan police officers in the attack on the police camp in Garissa.

The Kenya police service however denied the claims after the attack but said two officers could not be accounted for with two others seriously injured and flown to Nairobi for specialised treatment.

Kenya police in their statement said the camp in Garissa was attacked by about 50 militants in two land cruisers.

The statement said the militants escaped after officers in the camp engaged them in a gunfight.

The militants returned later with reinforcements in a lorry and used three bombs to destroy tents in the camp.
