Transport Cabinet Secretary, James Macharia, has been caught in a new controversy that may hurt his marriage of over 2 decades.
According to detectives investigating the Sh 5 billion scandal at the Ministry of Health, Macharia who is the immediate former CS at the Ministry of Health awarded tenders to his long time clandestine lover, Irene Nanayu Osoro, who was his side kick during his tenure as CEO of NIC.
Preliminary investigations showed that Macharia awarded Nanayu’s company, MedaAfrica, a contract to supply medicine and other supplies to the Ministry of Health.
These new revelations may now complicate the scandal at the Ministry of Health that has also touched President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister, Anne Nyokabi, and his cousin, Kathleen Kihanya.
However speaking to the media, Macharia distanced himself from Irene saying she was just his colleague in NIC and he never gave her a tender.
Macharia is a married man but with these revelations, it seems he went too far by giving his Mpango wa Kando authority to steal from Kenyans.
Many Kenyans are now asking why Macharia gave this lady a multi billion tender.
