Mombasa CORD senator Hassan Omar has called for a tough regulation of the arms previously in Governor Hassan Joho’s service, claiming that Mr Joho had excessive security. “What is Joho afraid of? He has 15 guards, plus his cronies in the convoy who each have a gun. The guns each have 15 bullets, which is about 450 bullets in Joho’s convoy … that is an armoury… not for security,” he added.
According to the Senator, the Governor has made Mombasa police his personal guards after the Government withdrew his security.
This has stirred a discussion on social media since some believe that the Governor is doing that to protect himself.
Raila has only 4 official security plus not more that 4 personal security. Governor Joho security is more that Deputy presidents William Ruto’s security.
making him second most protected person after President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kenya.
