SK Macharia has been asked to re-employ news editor Patrick Mathangani who was fired in October, 2016 alongside news anchor Terryanne Chebet, Kirigo Ng’arua and many others.
Royal media CEO is expected to hire the journalist back as Citizen extra- a news programme that has been introduced in preparation for the general elections in August.
Reports reveal that the number of editors is not enough to cover the election campaigns hence the re-employment of the journalist.
The layoff has greatly affected Royal Media Services (RMS) and word has it that SK Macharia is going broke.
