On April 16, 2013 then-Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo was pronounced dead at his ranch in Maanzoni, Machakos County.
In his time of death the Senator was not sick or suffering from any disease. Rumor immediately went wild alleging that the politician was under high intake of sexual enhancing pills known as Viagra waiting for his girlfriend (a popular radio presenter).
However an official government report to close the case reveals that Mutula Kilonzo died of massive bleeding caused by high blood pressure.
The family however was not thrilled with the report accusing the government of being insensitive by delivering the report to the court before letting the family know.
