Kiambu County Governor, Ferdinand Waititu County Budget

Kiambu County Governor, Ferdinand Waititu, on Thursday appeared before the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC) to explain over Sh 2.5 billion abnormal expenditures which the county has incurred.

Waititu had a hard time explaining to the committee how the county allocated Sh 973 million for State House coordination and how Sh 58 million was spent on South Sudan peace process.

He had also allocated another Sh804 million for free primary education even though it is a function of the national government.

Waititu’s drama in the Senate forced State House Chief of Staff, Nzioka Waititu issue a statement, distancing State House from the claims.

“Just for the record: State House does not share any budgets with the County Government of Kiambu,” Nzioka tweeted.

However according to renowned social media crusader, Robert Alai, President Uhuru Kenyatta‘s personal assistant, Jomo Gecaga is behind Waititu’s fake State House budget because the two are close buddies.

“Like US @WhiteHouse, we have “leakers” in Kenya’s State House. Jomo Gecaga is so close to Waititu. I suspect him on this,” Alai tweeted.
