Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda, has left tongues wagging after sending a message of condolence to Sabina Chege following the untimely death Benga musician, John DeMathew.
The celebrated Kikuyu singer died on Sunday night after his car rammed into a lorry at Blue Post Hotel on Thika Road.
DeMathew and Sabina Chege are reported to have been lovers back then before the latter joined politics.
The controversial singer even featured Sabina Chege as a video vixen in his hit-song, Njata Yakwa where he serenaded her with sweet lyrics.
According to sources, Sabina and DeMatthew broke up and she got married to Maina Gathito, the former Kenya Dairy Board boss.
Taking to twitter, Lesuuda wrote:
“Sincere condolences to the family, friends and fans of musician John Demathew whom I met at our #EmbraceMurang’a meeting and also danced to some of his music in the past.
“A great loss for Murang’a and Kenya. Rest In Peace. Sabina Chege Be comforted all of you.”
However, some netizens feel that Lesuuda should have condoled with DeMathew’s wife instead of his ex-lover, Sabina Chege.
