The successful surgery reaffirms the great strides that Kenya has made in the health sector.

Therefore, we are happy to inform you that Blessing and Favour are recovering well and have shown remarkable improvement after their 23 hours surgery. Both children are no longer on life support machine and are feeding on their own, moving their limbs and even verbally communicating

The children had been admitted in the Paediatric Surgical Ward, KNH on 5th September 2014 where we had to allow development of key organs and also enable them gain appropriate muscles to withstand the surgery. The twin girls were joined at the sacral region.

We thank God for this great milestone and celebrate the team for the job well done. It has taken not only skills but patience, commitment and self confidence to bring this joy to the mother, relatives, friends and honor to our country.

The successful surgery is a testimony that the country is endowed with medical specialists who can handle complicated human health challenges such as open heart surgery, organ transplant, reconstructive surgeries and other multi-disciplinary surgeries.
