By now, you must be aware that Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group, is in the country as his visit has been given top notch media coverage.
The e-commerce tycoon jetted into the country on Wednesday with 38 billionaires who are said to be scouting for business opportunities in Kenya.
Ma, who is currently China’s richest man with a fortune of nearly $30 billion, gave a public lecture at the University of Nairobi (UoN) on Thursday.
Apart from his resounding message to local entrepreneurs, something else about him left a mark in people’s minds and that is his simplicity.
Those who attended the public lecture were surprised to see him boarding a simple Nissan van as he left the venue in the evening.
As such, netizens have been praising him for his humility saying he should be an example to our local billionaires who keep flashing their wealth in people’s faces.
