HON OTICHILO STATES HE IS NOT TARGETING ODM SECRETARY GENERAL SEAT
Emuhaya Member of Parliament Honorable Wilberforce Otichilo has this evening distanced himself from claims that he is eyeing ODM Secretary General seat. This comes after Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba quit. Otichilo came out clear to state that the assertions were propaganda and his interest is Vihiga gubernatorial seat.
Honorable Wilberforce claimed the move would be a stab on Ababu’s back, whom he referred to as his brother. He also stated he is still in ODM until the next general elections when he will consult with his constituents on the party to join when he joins the gubernatorial race.
Sabatia MP on the other hand congratulated Ababu’s move citing that Amani National Congress Party leader Musali Mudavadi was also frustrated when he tried to run for presidency on ODM ticket. He related Ababu’s troubles to that of Musalia and urged Namwamba to join forces with Mudavadi in ANC.
The leaders also pushed for Luhya unity come 2017. They claimed political leaders from the Luhya community should be one. They spoke at a fundraising in a school at Viyalo in Sabatia constituency, Vihiga County.
