Former Othaya MP, Mary Wambui, has reportedly moved to the Sh 400 million retirement home gifted to former Head of State Mwai Kibaki by the government.

According to impeccable sources, Wambui, who came to the limelight last week after she was appointed as the chairperson of the National Employment Authority (NEA), is said to be a frequent figure at the palatial residence in Mweiga, Nyeri County.

A source said Wambui is currently warming the bed of the former President in Mweiga.

The over 20 bedroom house is an elegant country house perched on a high point with a sweeping view of both spectacular Mt Kenya and the Aberdare Rangers.

The posh house along the Nyeri-Nyahururu Road is like a mini State House complete with a helipad and all that comes with the trappings of power.

It is located inside a deeply forested area with only the red-tiled roof visible to motorists plying the busy road.

Kibaki is said to have sired a child with Wambui in 1970s despite being married to the late Lucy Kibaki.

Wambui’s daughter with Kibaki is Winnie Kibaki.
