Deputy President William Ruto was in Lusaka, Zambia between September 12 and 14 to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Edgar Lungu.
It was reported that as he was on his way to exit the country, he took a detour to a children’s home and shelled out KSh 500,000 to the home.
His selflessness was likened to that of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg who recently gave away 99 percent of his wealth to charity across the world.
Ruto further added that the responsibility of taking care of orphaned children should not be left to government alone but even opposition leaders.
