Deputy President William Ruto has arrived in New York, United States to attend the United Nations general assembly that kicks off tomorrow. Mr Ruto who was this evening welcomed by the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations, Macharia Kamau, and the country’s ambassador to the US, Robinson Njeru Githae is leading at least 6 cabinet secretaries among them foreign affairs CS Amina Mohammed and her devolution counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri in the crucial summit that will discuss among others the implementation of the new global development goals, adopted by its 193 Member States last year. UNGA is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations and the only one in which all member nations has equal representation.
