Walter Menya is a staff writer for the Sunday Nation.
Prior to taking up this post in June 2013, he was a Nation general news correspondent. In between, he also reported for The Star in Kenya.
Before moving to Nairobi in 2009, Menya was a general news correspondent for two years for the Nation in Kisumu. He has won Employee of the Year Award (Kisumu Bureau) in 2007 as well as Runner up Davis Astor Journalism Award in 2012 and Runner up Annual Media Excellence Award 2011.
Walter has been heavily critical of the current government.
