IEBC’s acting Director of ICT, Chris Msando, has been reported missing since Saturday.

According to people in the organization, the acting director who stays in Nyayo Estate has been missing with no trace as to where he went or has been since yesterday.

CID probe shows missing IEBC ICT manager last seen Friday 2.30am driving on Mombasa Rd accompanied by female passenger.

Friday 28th 22:00hrs CCTV at Anniversary towers pick on IEBC ICT director Chris Musando leaving the building.

Saturday​ 29th 02:30hrs CCTV along Mombasa road pick on Musando driving his Landover discovery with an unidentified female on the passenger seat.

Saturday 29th 03:00 hrs Musando sends a text to a colleague on Saturday’s activities to be carried out at the IEBC offices.

Later his phones​ remains unanswered, his wife reports him missing at Embakasi police station, Sunday 30th morning.

Almost 48hrs later his phones remain active.

The ICT director who double up to the personnel in charge of elections infrastructure was on Monday 31st supposed to conduct a dry run programme to demonstrate how transmission of results would be done.

The IEBC is in a busy mode that there is no way he would not report to work or his location as he holds a key position in the organisation. The commission is working with the police to trace him and ensure that he is safe.

IEBC is expected to release a statement explaining the incident.

James Muhati was sent on a compulsory leave for not cooperating with the audit department after which he was dismissed after an audit.

Chris Msando previously worked with National Aids Control Council, Virgin Atlantic and ICIPE in various roles.
