Detectives from Flying Squad and Special Crimes Prevention Unit arrested a man who shot and injured a driver attached to Deputy Chief Justice, Philomena Mbete Mwilu.
Titus Musyoka was shot three times on Tuesday evening while purchasing flowers along Ngong Road after dropping Mwilu at her Karen home.
He was rushed to Nairobi Women’s Hospital along Kirichwa Road and he was stabilized after doctors removed bullets lodged on his right shoulder.
Following the shootout, detectives worked overnight in establishing the man on a motorbike who shot the driver. Fortunately, the CID with the assistance of members of the public arrested the man near Dagoretti on Tuesday night.
The man was identified as Collins Odhiambo, a former bodyguard of Suna East MP, Junet Mohamed. Junet Mohamed is also ODM‘s Director of Elections. He is also a close confidante of NASA leader, Raila Odinga.
