EVANS ‘KARIUKI’ KIDERO

“If my name needs to change to Kariuki so that you can elect me, let it be. When a name does not sound that way, some of you just switch off the network,” said Dr Kidero.

The governor was accompanied by a section of Jubilee MCAs who endorsed him for a second term.

George Maina Njoroge, Umoja I MCA, told the traders that they should give Dr Kidero another chance to finish the projects he has initiated.

“Don’t take chances, give Dr Kidero another term,” said Mr Maina.

James Mwaura Chege (Ngara), Peter Wahinya Njau (Pangani) and Julius Mwaniki Muchiri (Nairobi Central) also accompanied the governor in the tour.

Dr Kidero added that he is not afraid of facing any candidate from the Jubilee Party, expressing confidence in retaining his seat.

“The many the better. I will defeat all of them, let them come,” said Dr Kidero.
